This is a paper I originally wrote for my Advanced Hebrew Skills course last Spring (2022) and just recently revised. Just for fun I translated it to German so that I can assess the accuracy of Word’s translation application. I won’t be able to assess that myself for a few more semesters so for now I am counting on you my friends to assess the accuracy of Microsoft Word’s translations from English to German.
Let’s begin with a nice picture of the ANE to set the mood. Ok, yes this is Egyptian, but that’s still ANE and Egypt was a major influence on literature from the Levant.
